Solar Subsidy in Jharkhand: The 2025 Homeowner's Guide
Rooftop solar in Bokaro is now more affordable than ever, thanks to the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Here's what you need to know before installing.
How Much Subsidy Do You Get?
- Up to 2 kW: ₹30,000 per kW
- Additional 1 kW (up to 3 kW): ₹18,000
- Maximum: ₹78,000 for a 3 kW system
For most Bokaro homes consuming under 400 units/month, a 2–3 kW system covers the entire bill.
The Process, Step by Step
- Register on the national portal (pmsuryaghar.gov.in) with your electricity consumer number.
- Apply after your vendor (that's us) submits the technical design and plant details.
- Install the system — a typical 3 kW rooftop install takes 2–3 days.
- Inspection by DISCOM officials and net meter installation.
- Subsidy credited directly to your bank account, usually within 30–45 days of commissioning.
Why Net Metering Multiplies Your Savings
Excess power flows back to the grid and earns you credits. In summer months, many of our customers see bills drop to near-zero.
What About Batteries?
The subsidy applies to on-grid systems. If you want power-cut protection, hybrid systems with lithium storage are the premium choice — we design both.
Our Promise
We handle the paperwork end-to-end: application, DISCOM coordination, inspection, and net metering. You just watch your meter run backwards.
